Ingrid Wilkinson is a Swedish Interior Designer & Project Manager that just moved back to Sweden after many years living in London. She graduated from the Inchbald School of Design and started her own practice influenced by the Scandinavian heritage, combining mid-century European, antique and contemporary design. Today she has thousands of followers on her inspiring Instagram account, where she shows her great sense of style and her love for fashion. She had just gotten back from her house on the Swedish west coast, where she spent most of the summer, when we had the chance to ask her some questions about her life and her passion for fashion. We are so glad that we got the opportunity to talk with Ingrid for this month's small talk!
I love mixing different styles and influences but I'm mainly drawn to either a sleek minimalistic silhouette or a more dramatic style with lots of colour. I always love to wear statement jewellery and a great pair of shoes and handbag!
London is a great place for style inspo as there are so many different cultures and influences there. I love going out and seeing what other people are wearing. Instagram is also a great inspiration as there are so many amazing accounts out there. And last, I also have many stylish friends!
As a handbag collector I would have to say a beautiful bag! You can wear a really simple outfit and it will still look fantastic with a really good bag.
Luxury can mean so many things - I love travelling and spending a lot of time with family and friends and of course you can never put a price on that. Luxury can also mean being able to afford amazing quality food, wine and fashion. I love luxurious materials such as cashmere, silk and leather so that's luxury to me.
So many! Since starting my Instagram account I'm lucky to have met so many inspiring women that share a common interest and have built up a fantastic community and platform. Anyone who dares to follow their dream and create something from scratch is so inspirational to me.
I absolutely love travelling and visiting new places and cultures! My driving force will always be my children and getting to spend a lot of time together as a family.
I love Viktoria Chan for her sleek feminine dresses - they just ooze minimalist cool with a twist. I also love AÉRYNE for i ts contemporary & edgy designs and MOYE as I'm a sucker for silk robes and nightwear!
