Caroline Receveur is not only the founder of the popular clothing brand RECC Paris, but she is also one of France’s most popular influencers with 4,7 million followers on Instagram. Caroline has a playful and colourful style that we can’t get enough of, and we simply love everything from her brand RECC Paris (which of course can be found on Seezona). Get to know Caroline better in the exclusive interview with her below.
How would you describe your style? Does your style reflect in RECC Paris' collections?
I would define my style as casual and a bit street style when it comes to my everyday life. When I go out for dinners and parties my style is more sensual and feminine. The collections that we create for RECC Paris are in many ways a reflection of my personal style. As it is my brand, I create what I would like to wear, and the collections almost always end up exactly as I imagined them.
Where do you find your inspiration? What made you start your own brand?
I get most of my inspiration from social networks, such as Instagram. I also get a lot of inspiration from experiences in real life, for example during events and fashion shows I attend.
Some pieces have the power to make you feel confident in any situation. Do you have such pieces in your collection? If so, what makes them special to you?
I think that when you are comfortable in your outfit, you will look gorgeous and powerful. Therefore I believe that you must select the pieces that you feel the most beautiful in to feel like the most powerful you! When it comes to the collections for RECC Paris, it is very difficult for me to select only one piece... But I can confess that the poplin men's shirt and the blue lurex dress are pieces I like particularly.
Do you have a particular fashion memory in your career that has a special meaning to you?
That must be the launch of RECC Paris three years ago. The first photoshoot was for me like a dream come true.
Who are the female role models that inspire you in your style and career?
Jennifer Lopez is a huge inspiration for me. She is an amazing performer and has an amazing eye for detail, which I think has contributed a lot to her success. Also, I think she has a great balance between her personal and her professional life, which is the ultimate goal for me.
Last but not least: which is your favourite designer on seezona.com, besides RECC Paris of course?
I must say Oceanus Swimwear. I love their colourful and glamorous beachwear!
