Tell us about you and your background?

My background in fashion is mostly in styling and retail. I have many years of experience as store manager, but also in visual merchandising. I spent seven years in Dublin where I worked with visual merchandising, focusing on mannequins’ outfits and display windows. That job also gave me the opportunity to begin freelance styling.

You are often on-the-go during the international fashion weeks, which is your favourite city and what should we not miss?

Oh so difficult to choose… I definitely have a soft spot for New York. The city where everything feels possible! Tokyo is like nothing else, in the absolute best way! Berlin is the city I always feel at home in, I can certainly see myself living there! In New York I absolutely think that you should go to a gig, preferably to one of the smaller live clubs in Brooklyn! In Tokyo, you have to check out all the awesome luxury vintage stores! RagTag for example is so nice! In Berlin, I think one should eat the amazing vegan food they have! It is the absolute best city to be vegan in!

What is your favourite fashion week?

New York is awesome! And they were early to invite me, and I am always having the best time when I am there. I was in London a bit sad when they did not show last year. for the first time this spring and it was so good! Paris has always been special for me since I am a big Céline-fan. Almost felt a bit sad when they did not show last year. Where do you find your inspiration?

Where do you find your inspiration?

I get so much inspiration when I travel during fashion weeks! Both from the shows but also from the streets. Then instagram of course – I get a lot of inspiration from the South Koreans and Russians I follow on Instagram!

SHOP TINA'S FAVOURITE

Choose 5 products that are your favourites from Seezona’s site seezona.com and describe why you like them

1. Blazer from Wynn Hamlyn – so masculine and nice! Love that it is double-sided!
2. Short sleeve tee, also from Wynn Hamlyn – could this be the perfect t-shirt? It looks promising!
3. Black tailored wool trousers from Marei 1998, because everyone need the perfect tailored trousers according to me!
4. Beige trench-coat from Coralie Marabelle, A classic trench always work, this one gets 10/10 from me!
5. Bag from Subella London – I love box-bags right now!
6. Last but not least, sunglasses from Oh My Eyes – these are so cocky and cool, a must!

What are you always on the lookout for?

I am constantly looking for the perfect white t-shirt! So difficult to find one that is 10/10. It should not be too tight but not loose, not too low-necked but not too high cut. Not too transparent but not too thick that makes it chunky…

What is your next purchase for the fall? What are the biggest autumn trends according to you?

My next purchase is a burgundy red suit and thin knitted hoodie from Phoebe Philo’s last collection for Céline. I am also craving a blue-checked coat from Dries Van Noten! 4 of my favourite trends this fall is checkered, tailored, oversized and hoodies!

Which are your favourite brands from Seezona?

Wynn Hamlyn, Coralie Marabelle and Oh My Eyes for the perfect sunglasses.

What is your best purchase?

My mac from the Céline AW16 collection! Love it so much! It fits everything and is waterproof. Does not get better than that.

Something that you would never wear?

You should never say never! I have told myself many times that I would not wear items, but then I end up wearing them anyway.

What are your styling tips for the ultimate day look?

I live in knitted sweaters or shirts, tailored trousers and sneakers for everyday life! Finding a pair of sneakers or other flat shoes will make you feel equally as pretty as in a pair of heels, that’s probably my best tip!

Styling tips for the ultimate evening look

I love wearing a suit! The best thing I know is to see a girl in a really nice suit! Preferably a bit over-sized which brings a bit of attitude to the outfit! I am short, so I usually wear the suit with a pair of high-heeled boots. OR you just go the opposite direction and wear the suit with a pair of relaxing slippers. I love when it is so wrong that it feels right!

What are your favourite style of accessories?

Shoes! Absolutely shoes! Love shoes that are simultaneously ugly as they are beautiful!

What type of music do you listen to?

I love music and live together with my husband who is a musician! Mostly I listen to alternative rock/pop. In September during NYC Fashion Week I had the pleasure of seeing Arcade Fire in Madison Square Garden. So amazingly good!

Whose wardrobe would you like to have?

Russian street style star Natasha Goldenberg. Her Céline and Prada archive is to die for!

Tina is wearing the Knoxville jumpsuit from Coralie Marabelle, Modibo blazer and skirt from Coralie Marabelle and the OH12 sunglasses from Oh My Eyes, the Camille dress from Fiorella Pratto and the Saya clutch from Subella London in chocolate croc.
